IN ALL THINGS WE ARE HUMAN. WE HAVE MADE AND WILL MAKE MISTAKES.
Christian living is also about forgiveness God is all forgiving just as we should be to others. 'Be kind and compassionate to one another, forgiving each other, just as in Christ God forgave you. (Ephesians 5:6), but remember 'If we deliberately keep on sinning after we have received the knowledge of the truth, no sacrifice for sins is left,... (Hebrews 10:26) This doesn't mean if we fall (and we do) that we can't come to God with a contrite spirit and heart and ask forgiveness again, God alone knows your heart, man does not, so do not let man judge as that is left for God alone.
Charter - 1. n. an official document granting rights. 2.n. the articles of incorporation of an organization or company, usually include a statement of principles or objectives.
Portions of this charter have been borrowed with permission from ToJ. Thank you ToJ and some other friends for helping me review this site.
Article I: Profession of Faith - please see previous tab
Article II:Rights of Members
right2. n. that which is morally right; that to which one is morally or legally entitled
Members, while playing against/with other members, have the right to a game free of cheating, profanity, and verbal hostility. Members have the right to fellowship with other Christians. Other rights, specific to a situation are at the discretion of the Guild Master.
Article III: Rules of Conduct
Section 1:Cheating
cheat 1. v.t. to trick or deceive. v.i. to play a game not according to the rules
Cheating, in any form, will not be tolerated. Use of hacks, use of dummy accounts to promote oneself on any ladder system, or any other method of cheating is grounds for immediate dismissal from the chapter.
Section 2:Profanity & Obscenity
profane v.t. to treat (something sacred) with irreverence
obsceneadj. that which morally corrupts
Members who use profane and/or obscene language will receive reprimands. If the conduct continues, the member will be disciplined and/or removed from the guild.
Section 3: Hostility
hostilityadj. unfriendliness
Members who display open hostility (i.e. "trash talking") towards other members or non-members will be reprimanded. If the hostile behavior continues, the member will be dismissed. This law does NOT apply to playful competitive language. This law does apply to the sharing of someone else's faults, sins etc. in a manner to discredit them.
Section 4: False Accusations
Any member found to purposely bring false accusations of conduct will be immediately dismissed from the guild. This is dishonest and does not show a loving nature to your friends and fellow guild mates. This includes false accusations against others not in our guild.
Section 5: Witnessing & Encouragement
encourage v.t. to give courage or confident to; to raise the hopes of; to help on by sympathetic advice and interest; to advise and make it easy for (someone to do something); to promote, stimulate; to strengthen (a belief or idea)
All members are encouraged to witness to non-Christians, whether through open conversation or by the example of their conduct. All members should also encourage and uplift their fellow members. Please use wisdom in witnessing and make sure it is a welcome discussion
No bothering someone constantly, especially if they are busy. Feel free to ask for help. Remember, however, that everyone needs to be able to play much of the game on their own. If someone indicates they cannot help, or cannot help at that time, please accept the answer with grace. Helping each other on challenging quests or other content and grouping with members for instances is encouraged. Power-leveling or expecting higher levels guild mates to run lower level toons through instances is discouraged. It is important that everyone learns to do instances with equivalent level groups to become proficient in playing your class and learning to group successfully.
No begging or asking for goldfrom fellow guildies or people in the game. We have many generous people who will often help out a fellow guildmate, however please do not presume on the generosity of others.
If you have an in game item for sale, you may announce that you have the item and if anyone is interested to whisper you. If you are wondering about an item price, you may ask in general guild chat what the value of the item is.
Section 6: Summary
"'Teacher, which is the great commandment in the law?' Jesus said to him, 'You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your mind. This is the first and great commandment. And the second is like it: You shall love your neighbor as yourself. On these two commandments hang all the Law and the Prophets.'"
Matthew 22:36-40 (NKJV)
Article IV: Administration
Section 1: Powers of the Guild Leader
The Guild Leader automatically assumes the role of head administrator. She will continue this role indefinitely, barring any gross offenses to the rules of conduct or resignation and appointment of a new Guild Leader.
Section 2: Powers of Selected Administrators
Administrators have authority, to admit and dismiss members, to appoint administrators, and to manage any task or project.
Section 3: Powers of Administrators
Authority of administrators is determined solely by the Guild Leader.
At this time for the guild Child of Aslan, there is only one Guild Leader - Geri aka: Schmeea in game and no official administrators at this time. Mike = aka-Wvirginia is assisting me with the forums and other tasks he feels willing to take on - upon our discussion.
BANKING WITH CoA or TF
The bank is for guild use please. Only take items which your character(s) can use. Items are not in the bank for 're-sale'. It will be the Guild Masters duty to clean out the bank and dispose of any items that have not been used or do not appear to be needed. If there are materials in the bank which can help you level a craft, that is what they are there for. Please be willing to offer craft service to guildies in need. Feel free to put items in the bank for your fellow guildies to support them in all they do. We will eventually have a tab in which items in that part of the bank will have to be requested. Send an in game post to Schmeea or one of the Guild Leader's other toons if you can't catch her online. Any gold/silver/copper made from things taken out of the bank by guildmaster will be put in the bank fund. You can also contribute to the fund and are encouraged to do so. Gold/Silver/Copper donated to the bank will buy future tabs and support future guild activities.
